We’ll be using enamels fired at higher than normal temperatures, learning to fuse finely powdered enamel onto the surface of copper to create beautiful a glossy glassy surface. exploring the fascinating process of the alchemy that exists between enamel and metal, we will be firing our pieces up to temperatures in the kiln of 1000⁰C to encourage the interaction between the enamel and copper and between different enamels. Trying to control the unpredictable, you will design and finish at least one small copper bowl. The cost of the workshop includes, one copper bowl as well as the enamels needed. A supply of more copper bowls will be available for you to purchase if you wish to do more than one. We limit each workshop to a maximum of 8 people to ensure individual attention and faster learning.
