We are thrilled to announce that Henry Lowther renowned Jazz trumpeter will be at The Wakes as part of his current tour.

Henry’s musical breadth is confirmed by his frequent engagements as a classical player with major symphony orchestras and ensembles, including the London Brass Virtuosi, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the London Sinfonietta, Germany’s Ensemble Moderne and the Matrix Ensemble. Until its demise Henry was for five years the solo flugelhorn player with the strings of the BBC Radio Orchestra, and as a session musician has recorded with Bing Crosby, George Harrison, Elton John, Henry Mancini, Paul McCartney, Van Morrison, Sir Simon Rattle, Nelson Riddle and Talk Talk, amongst many others.
Tickets are 15.00 per person includes ticket and jazz supper. Supper will be a single course and will include a choice from 3 dishes all freshly cooked on the evening – examples NOT-SO-CAJUN SHRIMP (Pasta and Shrimp in a Cajun cream sauce): JAMBALAYA (Chicken and Smoked Sausage in savoury rice)
NEW ENGLAND CORN CHOWDER; (Creamy sweetcorn broth with crusty bread).
Licensed bar open on the evening serving in addition sweet desserts, a wonderful range of gins, specialist coffees (inc. Espresso Martinis and Irish Coffees) along with a Jazz House cocktail.
