‘Finding Silence’ will be anchored around James Roose-Evans’ book of the same name. This will be a day of silence (mostly but not exclusively) with some minimally led sessions (with starting points from the book), time for people to find their own corners, and optional possibles to be chosen as we go along, for example a ‘walking silence’, or meditation journaling with pencil and paper.
The retreat will be relaxed and free, light and spacious. Elizabeth will be available for individuals to have an optional ‘open reflection’ with her in a quiet place.
There will be an extended lunch as well as morning and afternoon breaks for people to talk if they want to, but the overall idea is that there will be enough silence and quietness for you to allow yourself the relief of being principally with yourself for the day.
