A vocal and instrumental approach to jazz improvisation over the blues. No in depth knowledge of music theory is needed as the ‘ear’ and ‘feel’ will be your main guide to playing and soloing over the blues in a jazz style. The course will include a book to reference what has been covered on the day as well as further study and further listening. Please note this course is designed for ALL instruments and voices and of all abilities and experience.

Has studied at the Birmingham Conservatoire between 2002-2006 under the guidance of well established educators and performers in their own right. Hans Koller, Dave Cliff, Phil Robson, Gene Calderazzo, Mike Williams to name a few. Also recorded various albums with prominent improvisers on the U.K scene such as Mark Sanders, Paul Dunamall, Philip Gibbs.
