Catherine is a noted pianist, was born in Middletown, Ohio and received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Townson State University in Baltimore, Maryland. After graduation, she coached with teachers in Baltimore, Milan, Philadelphia and Washington D.C. Some of her professors included Reynaldo Reyes, Jackie Silver and Rosetta Ely.
Her specialities are American Piano Music, Women Composers and Contemporary music. She gives lecture/concerts on these topics as a visiting artist in addition to masterclasses.
The evening will begin with performance of music by female composers and a talk, followed by a lovely bowl supper with another performance afterwards. Full programme will be announced nearer the time. There will be a bar.
The programme includes works by Amy Beach, Fanny Mendelssohn, Maria Teresia von Paradis, Victoria Borisova-Ollas, and Nancy Van de Vate plus composers with whom we are perhaps more familar: Puccini, Schumann and Copeland.
Ticket price will be £14 per person, supper included. Doors open at 6:30pm.
