The Battle of Shrewsbury Medieval weekend
Over the anniversary weekend of the battle of Shrewsbury, 615 years ago, we travel back to medieval Shropshire to see the sights of everyday life leading up to the battle.
During this great family day out you will get to see knights in armour and archers preparing for battle, living history including traditional crafts and cookery. With many activities to try your hand at throughout the day. This will include national and regional organisations showing how medieval skills can still be used today.
There will be a historical market selling all manner of wares; the market will also include many local suppliers of various crafts too.
Ending each day you will be able to take sides and cheer on your favoured army, as part of the battle happens in front of you on the original battlefield.
