The plants are lovingly grown by small specialist nurseries and these enthusiastic plants people are on hand to give honest, straightforward advice on choosing and growing the right plants for your garden. The plant fair offers the opportunity to pop along and visit some wonderful specialist nurseries at no charge to get the gardening season off to a great start.
At the same time visit Battlefields 1403 excellent farm shop, deli and Sparrow’s Café. Which is a celebration of low food miles, only buying British and that means no lemons or grapes in sight, fresh seasonal products with full traceability. Fifth annual vegan fair in Shrewsbury arranged by Shropshire Veggies and Vegans group. Over 50 stalls including hot and cold food, cakes, sweets, chocolate, clothing, assessories, jewellery, cosmetics, books and charity stalls.
Free entry with a goody bag of samples and money off vouchers for the first 100 people through the door.
Free kids activities, treatment area and talks and presentations.

See displays of vintage vehicles of every kind including cars, motor bikes, tractors, military vehicles, steam engines, stationary engines, Land Rovers, Commercials and many interesting static exhibits.
Come along to the Greenhous West Mid Showground on 6th and 7th July for this family vintage vehicle day out.
Each year features a special tractor and in 2019 it will be the ‘International’. There is something of interest for all the family including craft and trade stalls, autojumble, fairground rides, go karts, face painting, juggling, shire horses and the well frequented beer tent and refreshment stands.
The Auction sale of vintage items will take place on the Saturday at 10.30am. The event supports charities each year and in 2019 it will be supporting the R.A.B.I and Severn Hospice.
There’s also the fantastic spectator sport Tractor Pulling, a magician, music from the Wirrall Pipe Band and Plantonic All Stars Steel Band.
Tickets are £8 in advance, £10 on the gate and under 16s go FREE!
Shropshire Handmade and Creative are having a change of venue* this summer and are hosting their annual Summer Fair at St Marys Church in the centre of the beautiful and historical market town of Shrewsbury.
Find over 30 local crafters, makers, designers and producers bringing you unique and bespoke products such as gifts, clothing, interiors, homewares, artwork, jewellery, food, stationary and much more. Entertainment and workshops will be available as well as some free crafts for the children.
An onsite tearoom will be available for locally produced food and refreshments and admission is FREE.
