Another Birchmeadow special. A tasty three part meal with a Belgian bias, followed by one of those ‘must see again’ films – this time from Belgium of course … BRAND NEW TESTAMENT.
Ea is the only daughter of God. She lives in a Brussels apartment with him (rather vicious and cynical) and her extremely downtrodden mother. God is bored to death, and the only thing that keeps him going is the fun he gets from his daily mean-minded intrusions into the happiness of human beings.
But Ea, like her brother before her, is a sensitive being. She becomes determined to make things go better. Brand New Testament is the story of her efforts, and of God’s efforts to stop her. Whilst it’s laden with laughs, it IS a bit irreverant.
