Maggie Humphry is one of three Broseley & Jackfield artists taking part in the Mid-Shropshire Artists’ second 2019 open studios weekend. Eight diverse professional artists based in mid-Shropshire are involved, giving people an opportunity to visit their studio spaces to see them working and discover what inspires their creative journeys.
Also an ideal opportunity to buy original artwork direct from the artists. Maggie will have an endless supply Christmas cards based on her book illustrations to hand, as well as an array of unique Christmas coasters.
Colleagues less than a mile away are Pip Jones (Broseley Wood) and Jan Park (Jackfield).

The Band From County Hell are an original Celtic Folk Rock fusion band with six critically acclaimed albums, and over 2000 live performances as part of their history.
Live gigs have seen them play from the smallest of venues to outside arenas and most notably their own show at The London Palladium. They have appeared with bands such as The Levellers, The Stranglers, UB40 and have been tour support to Stiff Little Fingers, Hayseed Dixie, The Beat and New Model Army.
There is no getting away from the fact that The Pogues are a heavy influence on this band along with a dash of Horslips and The Undertones. Their performances are high on energy sincerity and humour. Get on your dancing shoes! A great night out awaits you!

Milly Rees’ annual Vegetarian Christmas Cookery day will have a new menu of dishes for Christmas this year to serve on Christmas day or at any time in the festive season. We will make canapes, a starter, a main dish and a dessert. in our Pop-up kitchen. She will show you there is more to vegetarian cooking than nut loaf and bean feasts!
This hands-on cookery session is a great way to kick-start a new way of looking at vegetarian cooking for yourself, for friends or family at Christmas and throughout the winter months. You will learn how to use fresh flavours and combinations of ingredients to make dishes that look and taste so good they will become as much a part of your Christmas as the turkey!

Join expert, Alex Logan for this one day course as you get to grips with the art of hedge laying.
Learn to lay a hedge, the traditional way. We will be learning to cut almost through each hedge plant with the ‘pleachers’ still connected to their roots by a thin bendy strip. So we will create a living, thick hedge which traditionally would have been ‘bullock’ proof.
All equipment provided but you can bring along your hedgelayers billhook, if you have one.
