Broseley Festival is a two day music festival held in the historic town of Broseley Shropshire each year and is run by Broseley Festival CIC – a group of fourteen volunteers who all dedicate and volunteer their own time throughout the year to fundraise to ensure this brilliant festival goes ahead. Broseley Festival is held in June and is now proving to be one of the most popular two day music events in Shropshire attracting thousands of visitors to our town each year. The festival has some of the best international bands and tributes from all over the UK perform each year as well as amazing local performers taking to the stage to show off their talents. In addition to this the Broseley Festival offers it’s visitors the chance to try a range of international inspired street food and delicious drinks from one of the many stalls and bars that attend the weekend or why not grab a gift from one of the exciting craft and market stalls. You may also wish to take time to look around our beautiful historic town and it’s surrounding areas including the world famous Ironbridge Gorge world heritage site just a 2 minute drive away. After leaving school in the late 1970’s, Dave and Jamie formed a band and started writing original songs. A few live shows were performed and the band generated interest from EMI Records following demo recordings being made at Zella Studio Edgbaston. However, due to changes in the band’s circumstances the decision was made to put things on the back burner for a little while.
Dave and Jamie continued writing songs and performed as a duo, often joining other artists on tour such as Raymond Froggatt. Jamie also became friends with the legendary songwriter Clifford T. Ward and performed many shows and wrote songs with him,
Dave continued songwriting too and attained several awards for his songs. Despite their individual ventures, the duo continued to write and record songs together over a 30 year period.
In January 2018, the duo were asked to record some of their songs with top producer Gavin Monaghan.

Kornastone deliver a unique and diverse blend of cross genre well-crafted songs.
Having honed their musicianship and song writing from playing in many pro and semi pro bands – Wolverhampton group members – Dave Lawrence, James Davey, Martin Ratcliffe, Keith Allen & Stuart Ward – got together to start a new Kornastone journey at the start of 2018.
Their debut Album ‘Oh My Days’ was released in March 2018.
The follow up EP ‘Beautiful Day’ was released April 2019.
All tracks from both the debut album and EP have featured on BBC Introducing West Midlands and Shropshire.
Twice awarded ‘Record of the Week’ by BBC Introducing Shropshire.
The new EP ‘Spin Me The World’ will be released spring 2020.

After a fantastic sell out 2019 event we are pleased to announce the 7th running of the Apley Estate Autumn Challenge, a multi-terrain event presented by Wrekin Road Runners and the Apley Estate.
This is non-profit event. As part of our agreement to use the Apley Estate for this unique race, Wrekin Road Runners are pleased to provide all proceeds to the Church of St Chad, Stockton. Runners of the 10K and 21K get to see this beautiful listed building during their race.

Prices are held at 2019 levels: 5k – £17, 10k – £19, 21k – £24 (+ £2 for non-affiliated athletes)

Originally planned to coincide with the 100th anniversary of Rossini’s birth in 1869 the Requiem finally took to the stage in Milan in 1874.
Our soloists for the concert are Ellie Parsons (soprano), Ruth Theobald (mezzo soprano), Robert Tilson (tenor), Themba Mvula (bass) together with the combined choruses of the Wrekin College Chapel Choir and Wrekin College Community Choir
