Every Saturday and Sunday until 14th July
Bleddfa Centre has an underlying theme of the Ritualisation of Time over 2019, and nowhere are the passages of the seasons more marked than in the garden. We have also had a strand running throughout our programming of the importance of soil, soul, and society, as introduced by Satish Kumar in our Annual Lecture of 2017.
There has long been a debate about whether gardening is actually an expression of art – but everybody makes sculpture and pictures with shapes and colour in their garden. And drawing and painting are a way of seeing…
This exhibition will feature a range of local artists and craftspeople, plus the involvement of Rhos Organic Market Garden, and Hortus, the locally-produced international gardening journal. There will be plants and pictures, baskets and books, pots and sculptures, all with a theme of beauty, practicality and sustainability.
See displays of vintage vehicles of every kind including cars, motor bikes, tractors, military vehicles, steam engines, stationary engines, Land Rovers, Commercials and many interesting static exhibits.
Come along to the Greenhous West Mid Showground on 6th and 7th July for this family vintage vehicle day out.
Each year features a special tractor and in 2019 it will be the ‘International’. There is something of interest for all the family including craft and trade stalls, autojumble, fairground rides, go karts, face painting, juggling, shire horses and the well frequented beer tent and refreshment stands.
The Auction sale of vintage items will take place on the Saturday at 10.30am. The event supports charities each year and in 2019 it will be supporting the R.A.B.I and Severn Hospice.
There’s also the fantastic spectator sport Tractor Pulling, a magician, music from the Wirrall Pipe Band and Plantonic All Stars Steel Band.
Tickets are £8 in advance, £10 on the gate and under 16s go FREE!
