We are one of the chosen independent bookshops to host international bestselling author Ben Aaronovitch on the publicity tour for his new book, ‘The October Man’ – a Rivers of London novella. He will be stopping here to give a short talk and sign copies of the new book. The event is FREE but please book a ticket if you want to be sure of hearing him talk – space is limited.
Note: we recommend you pre-order your copy of the book – Ben will only be signing copies of books bought from us.

‘Understories’ is a brush with the new folklore of Shropshire, featuring award-winning musicians and poet Whalebone and Jean Atkin. Here are urban – and rural – myths, and tales just out of living memory. They are the common uncommon.
Discover Shropshire’s last wolves and cloggers, its haunted roundabouts, pigs, railway lines and oak trees, not to mention the boy who burrowed under a church.
Supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England. Unreserved seating.
