Plant Hunters’ Fair at the wonderful Cholmondeley Castle Gardens with a special reduced entry on the day for the gardens and plant fair of just £4.00 (gardens normally £8.50) for the gardens and plant fair. Plants will be at the heart of the event and there will be a brilliant line up of nineteen nurseries attending each with something new, different and unusual to delight plant lovers of every level of experience and the nurseries will be more than happy to give you the benefit of their experience in how to plant and care for the plants you buy so you can get the best from them.
Cholmondeley Castle Gardens is said by many to be among the most romantically beautiful gardens they have seen. The Gothic revival castle – a product of the early 19th century – stands on a high rise above a lake and is surrounded by sweeping lawns and a variety of mature trees. The gardens surrounding the castle provide a lovely mix of colour and height and will have a stunning display from the drifts of bulbs and flowering shrubs.
The Plant Fair runs from 10am- 5pm on Sunday 26th April. Dogs on leads welcome.

The Plant Hunters’ Fairs at The British Ironwork Centre have raised thousands of pounds for Hope House Children’s Hospices, with the £1.00 entrance fee going to this very deserving cause. The popular Weston Park Autumn Plant Hunters’ Fair will take place on Sunday 13th September. It’s just £3.00 to access the plant fair, gardens and parkland. Entry is by advance purchased ticket only. This vegan mini market at The Parade Shops in Shrewsbury will have ten outdoor stalls safely spread out to allow for social distancing. The River View cafe will be open selling vegan hot food and drinks, and The Vegan Hub will be open selling vegan groceries and gifts. There will be expert advice about going vegan and free recipes.
All attendees must wear masks (or visors if exempt) and social distance at all times. There may be queues due to limited numbers being allowed in at one time due to social distancing.
Admission is £1 which will go to The Shropshire Badger Group.

We regularly see between 2700 – 4300 visitors and between 100 – 150 traders over the weekend both indoor and outdoor and this fair is ever increasing in popularity.
