Winter is set to cast a seasonal spell at Weston this December when Enchanted Weston weaves it festive magic. As dusk falls the natural beauty and wonder of Capability Brown’s Temple Wood is awakened with an illuminated trail through the ancient trees and woodland.
Enchanted Weston celebrates the beauty of the natural world, taking its inspiration from the cold crisp nights, the chill in the air and the joy of an illuminated forest experience. A rising mist over Temple Pool and the appearance of mysterious smoke rings will add to the intrigue as visitors embark on the half a mile walk.
Towering trees, historic landmarks and hidden surprises are all picked out in a wash of light and hues of colour.
Festive Fizz & Eats returns to the Stables Courtyard where visitors can warm up by the fire pits, toast marshmallows and enjoy fabulous street food, warming cocktails and live entertainment.
With Christmas around the corner, there is also the chance of a spot of retail therapy; a selection of handpicked local producers bursting with gift ideas feature in the festive pop-up market.

Following in the footsteps of the Nubian Nightjar, a small nocturnal bird characterized by its drumming song, percussionist Rick Wilson and vocalist Kate Allan will open your minds and ears to wonderful ways of drawing on your innate musicality via a series of combined vocal and rhythmic explorations. This workshop promises to be not just educational but most importantly a great deal of fun!
Throughout the year, Kate Allan and Rick Wilson have been running independently from each other regular monthly vocal, drumming and rhythm workshops at The Hermon. In this 3-hour workshop both musicians will now join forces for the first time to share their practical skills and liberating approach to music with participants of all levels of experience. In a playful yet focused manner the group will work together on creating songs, ‘wordful’ and wordless, explore rhythms and develop awareness of moods through experimenting with drums, bells, shakers, vocal chords and any contraption that teases the imagination.
No prior experience is required, just come and join us in the beautiful and acoustically alive space of the Hermon Chapel, bring along drums and percussion instruments to add to our collection for the day and most importantly your enthusiasm, curiosity and an open mind!
There will be a break, during which our in-house bar will be open for you to purchase drinks and home-made cake to keep you going thoughout the ‘Tour de Rhythm’!
If you can, please register your participation before the day, so we get a realistic idea about expected attendance! Thanks.

Drummer and composer Sam Jesson has been a key figure on the London Jazz scene for some time now, and this tour marks his debut as a bandleader. United by their love for the tradition of legendary jazz trios from Ahmed Jamal to Sonny Rollins, Oscar Peterson to Dewey Redman, the trio wind their way through many gems of the jazz canon, sometimes deconstructing and breathing new life, sometimes paying homage to classic arrangements, with a devoted focus on making music that feels honest and joyous.
Line Up: Sam Jesson – drums, James Allsopp – sax & Tom Farmer – bass
