Make your very own Eco Christmas wreath this year, online (via Teams) and from the comfort of your own home!
Join us for a fun 2 hour workshop on Saturday 4th December from 10-12pm, where you will create your own unique personalised wreath.
In this online Christmas workshop we’ll show you how to make an eco-friendly Christmas wreath that’s as beautiful as it is kind-to-the-planet. Not only is there not a plastic bauble in sight but the natural willow base can be used year after year. The best bit? When you’re ready to un-deck the halls, simply remove the foliage and pop them in the compost bin
The cost of the workshop is £16.00 which includes a basic wreath kit, comprising of a willow wreath frame and twine (the kit can be collected from the Trust Office at a mutually agreeable time, or mailed first class to a UK address for a £4 postage fee. The final date for posting kits out will be the 26th November to ensure the Kit will reach you in time.).
To personalise your wreath you will need to collect your own beautiful foraged greenery such as Ivy, Holly, Eucalyptus, and Fir etc. You may also wish to add dried orange slices or pine cones, cinnamon sticks, ribbons etc.
You will also need some sort of garden snips/secateurs to be able to trim down the stems of foliage ready to insert into the wreath base.
An apron and a tablecloth would come in handy to protect clothes and surfaces.
Christmas jumper, mulled wine and mince pies are optional!
