A magical adventure by Land Rover through the illuminated woodland to see Santa in his real hillside Grotto.
Arrive at the Hawkstone Park Follies visitor centre and check in for your trip. After a warming festive drink you’ll be whisked off in one of our Land Rovers across the Park, through the Grand Valley, under the Wishing Arch and up the steep hill to Santa’s spectacular network of caves.
Santa’s elves will keep you entertained as you wander around the decorated, fairy-lit caverns and tunnels until you finally arrive at your destination – the magical grotto itself! Every child will receive a gift from Santa.
You’ll have the opportunity to meet Santa’s reindeer and enjoy the illuminated woodland fantasy. You can even finish off your visit with a Christmas meal in the beautifully renovated Hawkstone Park Hotel restaurant.
Pre booking is essential and spaces fill up quickly!

This December discover the Mansion with decorations ‘Inspired by Nature’. Pre-book your visit now to see the Mansion with its individually themed rooms decorated to represent nature, both local and exotic.
Visits to the Mansion are by pre-booked timed entry tickets to keep visits special (there are three time slots each day). Tickets are free for National Trust Members, and admission charges will apply on the day of the visit for non-members. Ticket holders for the daytime weekend and school holiday ‘Father Christmas Visits’ will also need to book a separate ticket to visit the Mansion if you wish to do so.
So that you can enjoy the visit at your own pace, with enough space to do so, and to care for the collection including the interior of the Grade I listed Mansion, there is a maximum number of visitors to the Mansion each day. Once you have entered the Mansion, at any time within your time slot, you can spend as long as you like inside.
We’ve built in extra capacity for visitors across December but popular days may reach this limit and become ‘Fully Booked’. A very limited number of tickets will be available on each day, on a first come, first served basis for each time slot – but to ensure you are able to visit on the day of your choice please book in advance.

Santa makes a special visit each Christmas to the Llangollen Railway. Your decorated steam train will transport you in style from Llangollen Station to Carrog (renamed Lapland for Santa’s visit). Santa will give each good boy and girl a special gift on the journey & the adults on-board receive a Mince Pie & a tipple from Santa’s Little Helpers.

Winter is set to cast a seasonal spell at Weston this December when Enchanted Weston weaves it festive magic. As dusk falls the natural beauty and wonder of Capability Brown’s Temple Wood is awakened with an illuminated trail through the ancient trees and woodland.
Enchanted Weston celebrates the beauty of the natural world, taking its inspiration from the cold crisp nights, the chill in the air and the joy of an illuminated forest experience. A rising mist over Temple Pool and the appearance of mysterious smoke rings will add to the intrigue as visitors embark on the half a mile walk.
Towering trees, historic landmarks and hidden surprises are all picked out in a wash of light and hues of colour.
Festive Fizz & Eats returns to the Stables Courtyard where visitors can warm up by the fire pits, toast marshmallows and enjoy fabulous street food, warming cocktails and live entertainment.
With Christmas around the corner, there is also the chance of a spot of retail therapy; a selection of handpicked local producers bursting with gift ideas feature in the festive pop-up market.
Enchanted Weston Ticket Prices:
£9 per person (under 4’s go free)
£30 family ticket (2 adults +2 children aged 4 -14 years)
Annual Pass & Local Resident Members:

Let there be light…
Using imagery from our painted 16th century glass windows, the interior of St Mary’s will be lit from within by thousands of projected shards of light, brightening even the darkest of corners this winter!
Created by international light artist Andy McKeown, the church will be transformed into a giant kaleidoscope casting refracted images across the Nave enveloping the entire space.
Set to early English Choral Music and pieces composed by Matthew Woolley, a sing-songwriter and composer from Shropshire, this event is certainly one not to be missed!
We will be offering free entry to St Mary’s with a suggested donation of £3 per person to help raise much needed funds for ongoing repairs to this medieval Grade I listed church

Márie is ‘the doyenne of Irish Harpers’, and Chris ‘one of our greatest musicians’. Together they have created one of the most distinctive voices in modern acoustic music. Their Christmas show features a breath-taking blend of traditional Irish music, swing jazz, bluegrass, and some festive favourites, in arrangements that are intricate, inventive, moving and beautiful. A spellbinding treat for mid-winter.

Drummer and composer Sam Jesson has been a key figure on the London Jazz scene for some time now, and this tour marks his debut as a bandleader. United by their love for the tradition of legendary jazz trios from Ahmed Jamal to Sonny Rollins, Oscar Peterson to Dewey Redman, the trio wind their way through many gems of the jazz canon, sometimes deconstructing and breathing new life, sometimes paying homage to classic arrangements, with a devoted focus on making music that feels honest and joyous.
Line Up: Sam Jesson – drums, James Allsopp – sax & Tom Farmer – bass
