Many of us dread Friday 13th – but at Hermon’s Chapel we can’t wait for October’s date!
We have two fantastic electronic duos lined up – both using cutting edge electronics and beats along with light shows that will turn our Chapel into a pulsating, futuristic spacecraft – though with two very different sounds.
Following on from previous memorable nights at the Chapel, the electro trumpet and drums sound of Spaceheads make a welcome return. They are visiting us just prior to the release of their new 13-track, 13th album, A New World In Our Hearts, which features upbeat revolutionary themed tracks such as The Revolution Sashays Up The Mall and Laugh In The Face of Power, both of which are currently being championed on Gideon Coe’s BBC 6 Music show… so with three 13s in a row, this is sure to be a spectacular evening!
Alongside Spaceheads, we are proud to showcase Wrexham duo Blacakat – an amazing beat-filled sound that takes the music back off the decks and pushes it out live by taking inspiration from multiple electronic genres. Their performances are totally unique and therefore never the same twice. Featuring DBP on a full electronic drum kit and Speedy on synths, controllers and effects, they will soon have you dancing your socks off!
Completing the line-up are the amazing live video effects of Rucksack Cinema, which will transform the interior of the Chapel into a light show of pulsating colours, effects and film clips to complement the music, creating an all-encompassing audio-visual spectacular.
This Friday 13th, your luck is definitely in!
