Fancy a Trip To The Moon as a Space Rebel? Or maybe you’d like to join the Revolution Sashaying Up The Mall or go for a Short Ride On The Arrow Of Time?
The Hermon is excited to present two electronic duos. Both have very different sounds but use cutting edge electronics driven by live drum beats along with light shows that will turn the Hermon into a pulsating, futuristic spacecraft
The amazing Spaceheads are returning to the venue. If you’ve not experienced Spaceheads’ audio visual show before, come along and find out what all the fuss is about. They are a unique trumpet and drums duo, formed in Manchester 27 years ago. Andy Diagram plays trumpet, layering live loops of brass, breathy samples, and effects controlled from a mobile phone attached to the top of his instrument. Richard Harrison’s drums and percussion propels and colours the brass to create tripped-out funky, electro-jazz soundscapes.
Blacakat are a 2 headed rhythm machine from North Wales. Featuring DBP on electronic drums and percussion and Speedy on synths, filters, sequencers and FX. Blacakat evolved from jam sessions and as an experiment in what could be done live in an arena which typically isn’t .Mixing genres and pulling from multiple styles to create what has become their own genre, always trying to evolve, never the same twice live, the aim will always be to get people on their feet and finding something in there that they can connect to.
Completing the line-up are the amazing live video effects of Rucksack Cinema, which will transform the interior of the Chapel into a light show of pulsating colours, effects and film clips to complement the music from both bands, creating an all-encompassing audio-visual spectacular.
