Can cartoonists find humour in anything? What’s a typical day? Do the times we live in affect the cartoons we get? All these and more will be revealed in ‘Cartoonists in Conversation’, our Friday night panel discussion at the Wightman Theatre on the 20th April at 7.30pm. Tickets £5 + booking fee or pay on the door (subject to availability).
Radio presenter Alex Lester hosts an interactive discussion with four fabulous cartoonists. Jeremy Banx, The Surreal McCoy, Wilbur Dawbarn and Royston Robertson are regulars in Private Eye, The Spectator, The Oldie, The Beano and many more. Readers of the magazines will be familiar with their work but who are the people behind them? Are cartoonists writers, artists, journalists?
Join us on the 20th and find out about the life of a cartoonist.
The discussion will be followed by a chance for audience questions.
